NYBI will give the modern-day premiere of Karl von Seckendorff’s monodrama Proserpina. Set to Goethe’s text, this “lost work” has not been performed since its Weimar debut in 1778. Alongside is a brand new Proserpina II by Paul J. Botelho set to the same text for solo voice, chorus, and electro-acoustic fixed media.
